To achieve the objectives, a quantitative non-experimental method was employed. The questionnaire was administered to a stratified sample of 10 schools in the Omusati region. The results of this questionnaire provided evidence that home environmental factors had an influence on the learners' educational and occupational aspirations. It was found that socio economic background, parent level of education, and parental involvement had a significant influence on the learners 'educational and occupational aspirations. The variable of gender also had a significant influence on the educational and occupational aspirations of learners. No significant relationship was found with regard to the impact of father's level of education and learners' occupational aspirations. However, a significant relationship was found to exist between the father's level of education and the learners' academic performanceen_US
This study offers support to the results of some other studies carried out both in Namibia and elsewhere. Based on the findings of this study, some recommendations are given as a model for improving home environment factors that have an impact on learners' educational and occupational aspirations.en_US
