The bioeconomy has the potential to play a key role in sustainable environmental management practices by utilizing bio-based resources, reducing environmental impact, and promoting biodiversity and ecosystem services. In this chapter, we explore the principles of sustainable environmental management practices and their application in the bioeconomy. We discuss the use of bio-based solutions for environmental challenges, the circular economy and its relationship with the bioeconomy, and the importance of social and environmental responsibility in the bioeconomy.
